The Audit Process
How does the audit process work?
ABCe provides a rigorous independent audit that ensures that all members have met the strict requirements of the key elements of the Code of Conduct. ABCe visits every organization undergoing the audit to check that both the site vetting is being completed, and the I/O process undertaken in accordance with the Code. In October 2008, 16 members taking IASH ‘Random Audits’ passed. This was the first audit to see ABCe randomly select a month during January and June 2008.
All Members and non-Members are currently preparing to be audited during April -June 2009 and the results will be announced after July 2009.
What if a company fails the audit?
If a company fails the ABCe audit, they will be suspended from the Council pending a re-audit which, if passed, will result in their reinstatement. If a member has failed the ABCe audit, they will be removed from the IASH website with immediate effect.
